SENIOR LEADERSHIP

Mr. Musa Yusuf is the Auditor General of the National Audit Office of
Somaliland, having been appointed in the position on 18 June 2025 by His
Excellency, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, the President of the
Republic of Somaliland.
Mr Yusuf is a highly experienced public financial management, accountancy
and audit professional, with more than two decades of practical experience in
accounting, auditing, payroll, taxation, institutional development and capacity
building.
His background combines senior-level experience in UK accounting and audit
practice, with extensive public sector reform and advisory work in Somaliland.
Previously, he has served in roles including Senior Partner in accounting
practice, Public Financial Management Consultant, Internal Auditor, and
adviser to key governance institutions such as the Accountant General’s
Office, the Public Accounts Committee, and other government entities.
His academic and professional background includes qualifications in
Accounting and Finance, Community Leadership, Leadership and
Management, Banking Management, Islamic Banking and Finance, Project
Management, and professional practice credentials in public accountancy and
charity examination.
His experience in audit, systems development, public finance reform, staff
training, manual development and institutional strengthening positions him
well to provide strategic leadership to the National Audit Office of Somaliland.text here
